Wansford to Old Weston Classic double loop round Oundle
FOR BOTH ROUTES IF IT’S AN ICY OR VERY WET MORNING CHANGE THE START TO AVOID THE DROP TO DEENE BY GOING DIRECT TO BULWICK VIA SOUTHWICK
The Short route is 43 miles; Out to Upper Benefield and down to Deene, through Bulwick to Kings Cliffe and then hope for wind assistance on the Roman road to Wansford. Elton and back to Apethorpe before Warmington Hill. A few wiggles on the return before looping round Caldecote.
A good route for bad weather with options to cut out sections i.e. Apethorpe or bale out early.

The Long route is 55 miles; The two routes share the first 37 miles to Caldecote, then the longer gang head down to old Weston and return on the Clopton drag via Lilford.
