Launde Abbey for both routes

The Medium route is 51 miles (2700ft); A longer than usual route but worth it for the beautifull Launde Abbey area. Out to Uppingham and the rolling Rutland hills before heading South up the Launde Abbey Cliff. A return through the valley missing out Rocko Hill and back through Deene and Benefield.

The alternative brings this down to 48 miles.

The Long route is 69 miles (3975ft); The same start as the medium route with the addition of a few Rutland loops and Rocko Hill on the return. A good training ride for the Gorilla Ride sportive. The loops allow for riders to cut the ride down to alternatives. As the track crosses itself these might be a bit confusing, basically at a junction stay on the general route direction (i.e. straight over)

Be warned this route is relentless, if you head off at 20mph pace you will hate it and most likely bale, a steadier start is recommended so you can enjoy the pastures less travelled more.
