Out and back to Oundle in four star points. Perfect for Winter bad weather bale outs

WARNING – IF IT IS ICY – MISS OUT THE FIRST LOOP TO AS THE ROAD DOWN TO BRIGSTOCK IS ALWAYS SHEET ICE ON A STEEP DESCENT. – INSTEAD GO DIRECT TO BENEFIELD ON THE MAIN A427 ROAD
The Long route is 63 miles; This is an ideal route for a winters day with an unpredictable weather forecast. There is no medium route as riders can peel off at any of the return points to select their own distance, or go for the full distance at a steadier pace. The first loop out can be used as a beginner route too. This route will work well in reverse too.

The start heads out to Brigstock by Lyvden New Bield, and returns via Benefield to the first bale out at Glapthorn.(15 miles) Loop 2  heads off to Kings Cliffe and back to the bale out point at Cotterstock (32 Miles) loop 3 heads off to Wansford and back to Elton and has bale out options at Warmington (45 miles) and Polebrook (49 miles) The final loop for the hardy heads to Great Gidding and returns to Thurning and Barnwell for the full 63 miles.
