Now updated with GPX routes for Gorillas

Most Gorillas will choose the short route HERE ON RIDE WITH GPS which is the 60 mile option. And if you are riding over to the Start use THIS ROUTE This is 11 miles so a 7.30am prompt start from the Wharf will allow you to get there in time without to much waiting around. It’s only a ride so if you cant manage the distance; why not ride over, finish at Oundle and consider it a donation to the Yaxley club.

The full ROUTE HERE RIDEwithGPS is 90 miles and passes Oundle at approx 70 miles, who is Gorilla  enough for that?

An announcement from the Yaxley Riders are able to announce we will be holding our annual reliability trial on Sunday 18th January 2015.

MORE INFO HERE on the event
The short route can be found here on GPSies

Gorilla Notes: this is not a sportive so there are no route directions, its also not a race. At registration you select a speed range that you believe you can achieve for the ride. If you are within that speed at the finish (including stoppage time) you are deemed reliable. If you fall outside that range and will fail and are deemed unreliable. Nearly all the Gorillas failed last year as they chose the faster speed so be warned.

Tip: select the slowest speed, enjoy the ride and make full use of the cafe stop, the 90 mile ride is a tough one.

Dont underestimate the 90 miler

The Longer route takes in the Rockingham valley after Uppingham. The shorter route loops back from Uppingham only.
